Angels Envy Private Barrel 'San Diego Bourbon Sharing X Nestor Liquor'

This Angel’s Envy Private selection comes in at a proof of 109.9, and immediately wows with a nose of caramel, butterscotch, cherry, and spiced apple integrating nicely together. Letting it sit in the glass for a while will reveal pleasing notes of peppermint and pipe tobacco. On the palate the taste is rich, with notes of caramel, white pepper, tart cherry spice, and more butterscotch. The finish is medium-long, with notes of fig and plum, and a lingering brown sugar-like sweetness. There is almost no astringency typically found in port barrel finished whiskies. The finishing is not overpowering at all, and is sure to please both those new to AE, as well as super-fans.
